Rainbow Remote Teaching in Design History Innovation Award 2020

The Design History Society is joining efforts to thank key workers in a new award to celebrate and to share best practice in the immediate transformations of design-history teaching into virtual formats over the last months across the globe. This award recognises the massive and imaginative extra work so many of us are doing to support our students through new virtual pedagogy. It also seeks to champion the creativity and generosity of institutions and individuals engaged in making their collections accessible virtually amidst the ‘lockdown’ which many of us have been using in our new virtual classrooms.

DHS Virtual Event Grant

The Virtual Event Grant will be awarded by the DHS in 2020 amidst the current Covid-19 pandemic to encourage interaction, debate and research activity in design history through virtual initiatives proposed by established, early career and independent researchers. It represents the Society’s commitment to promoting and to supporting access to the field of design history, encouraging transnational dialogue with less negative impact on the environment amongst our constituencies who are facing unprecedent precarity.
