In the next episode of our podcast series: Routes to Design History, we speak with William Seung, a curator and design historian whose interests span contemporary design, digital culture, and East Asian visual and popular culture. He is currently Assistant Curator of Design and Digital at the Victoria and Albert Museum, where he contributed to the development and launch of the museum’s newly opened Contemporary Design gallery, alongside programmes exploring the relationship between design and emerging technologies. Before joining the V&A, he worked at M+ in Hong Kong, where he supported several major exhibitions, including the inaugural collection display Things, Spaces, Interactions (2021). He later joined Somerset House as Assistant Curator for CUTE (2024). William holds a Master’s degree in History of Design, jointly offered by the Royal College of Art and the V&A.
