The Annual Design History Society Conference is a prestigious international event, which offers a platform for an interdisciplinary approach to research and critical debate in design history. The proposal for the 2019 conference should be based on themes or perspectives on cultures of design.

The Design History Society works towards furthering global dialogues on design and warmly welcomes proposals from individuals and institutions that support and engage in teaching and research in design history. Recent conferences have been hosted in Middlesex (2016), Oslo (2017) and the 2018 conference will be held in New York. Information on past conferences can be found on the DHS website here.

In addition to bringing your institution to the attention of the design history community, this event can also offer an opportunity for delegates to visit local collections and significant sites in the study of design history.
