The Design History Society is delighted to announce that the DHS Annual Conference 2013 will be held at the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad, India. This will be the first conference convened outside of Europe and reflects the increasing importance of design history as a globalised discipline. The conference seeks to utilise postcolonial approaches and subjects to work towards the development of fuller, more textured, global histories of design. 'Towards Global Histories of Design: Postcolonial Perspectives' is convened by Suchitra Balasubrahmanyan , CEPT University, and Tanishka Kachru, National Institute of Design, and held at National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, 5-8 September 2013.
