In this fortieth anniversary year since its foundation, the Design History Society is seeking to appoint new members to its Board of Trustees at a stage of growth and new initiatives.

The positions currently available are:

Treasurer

This is a fundamental role within the Society, whose key responsibilities include managing the budget and cash flow of the organisation within the guidelines of the regulator for charities in England and Wales. Click here for more information.

Secretary

As a voluntary, unpaid member of the Executive Committee, the Secretary's key responsibility is to ensure the smooth running of the Society's business. Click here for more information.

Student Officer

The Student Officer serves on the Executive Committee as a non-Trustee member to represent the interests of and to support those studying the history of design at all levels of higher education, in line with the Society's aims and objectives. Click here for more information.

Ambassadors (x2)

The Ambassadors' role will be twofold: to promote DHS events, activities and news through official DHS social media channels, and to encourage visitors to the DHS website by generating dynamic and carefully crafted content. These roles are offered on a voluntary basis, and successful applicants are expected to serve for at least 1 year (with the option of extending to 2 years). Please find further details below:
