International Textiles Archive, University of Leeds

Marks and Spencer Company Archive

The M&S archives offer a rich resource for the study of British retailing and consumption. Now housed in London, it is due to move to a purpose built archive at the University of Leeds.

Mass Observation Archive, University of Sussex

The archive specialises in documenting everyday life in Britain and contains material related to the Mass observation studies between 1937 and 1950, diaries and responses to ‘directives’ on topics such as architecture, advertising, tourism, shopping, teenagers, collecting etc.

Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) Archives

Housed at the V&A the collection contains drawings, correspondence, press cuttings, administrative records and literary sources related to architecture.

Screen Archive South East, University of Brighton
