The Journal of Design History, the Society's periodical, is published by Oxford University Press on behalf of the Design History Society. The Journal of Design History is the leading journal in its field, playing an active role in the development of design history, including the history of the crafts and applied arts, as well as contributing to the broader field of studies of visual and material culture.The Journal includes articles, reviews of books and exhibitions, lists of books received and from time to time publishes special issues.
