Response to the HEFCE's REF consultation
DHS Anniversary Reception
August 1st 2008
As part of this year’s conference Networks of Design, the Design History Society would like to extend a warm invitation to an anniversary reception at Pendennis Castle, Falmouth, Cornwall, on the 5th September 2008, between 7.30 and 10pm.
The evening shall be of multifarious merriment, as the Society has much to celebrate: the Society has enjoyed over thirty years of activities, research and scholarship and its periodical, the Journal of Design History, is now in its 21st volume.
The Society will also launch the website of its recent oral history project that records the development of the discipline over the last thirty years through an on-going series of life histories and interviews with historians and writers who have played a significant role in establishing our discipline.
Further, the Society's Annual Student Essay Prize winners will be announced this evening.
The Society looks forward to welcoming you at Pendennis Castle, Falmouth for an evening of wine and canapés.
